We always start with a conversation for a handful of reasons and the first is to get you started in the best manner from day one. We aren’t trying to upsell or bundle things, literally the opposite. Our goal is to build a plan that is sustainable and effective for YOU so that you can train for the long term, for resilience, for life. From the platform —> Your life. This also ensures that you know at least one person at the gym right away and helps keep this community safe as we know everybody that walks through these doors.

And we know your needs change over time so we won’t lock you into any commitments or contracts so you can add, or remove, memberships monthly. We also do remote and hybrid coaching so if getting to the gym is a challenge, just text us “Remote” at either link above and we’ll get you started wherever you train!

In the words of our athletes

You’ll notice we don’t have before and after pictures or any of that nonsense. Your results are yours and we believe that you own the earned strength, confidence, and grit that you build in this space.

A woman in workout clothes is jumping in a gym, smiling with her arms bent back. She is wearing black pants, a black t-shirt, and white socks. The gym has weightlifting equipment, a mat, and a banner with the word 'CrossFit' on it.
  • “I love this gym and community. Brian and Holly have worked hard to create a safe and fun community. If you have fitness goals, this is the place to be. I just competed in my first weightlifting comp and Holly and Brian made it the most fun and smooth experience for me. I constantly feel supported and cared for, and couldn’t ask for better coaches to help me become a stronger athlete. Not to mention other coaches like Paola, who’s always ready to help. And the special mascot, Kilo. I couldn’t ask for a more supportive community!

  • “Brian and Holly have created a wonderful, welcoming, and strong community at The Resilient Strength that only amplifies the quality coaching. They meet you exactly where you’re at and help you meet any goal. I came in with only some powerlifting knowledge, and in a year competed in three powerlifting and weightlifting competitions. Can’t recommend them highly enough!”

  • I have such a great amount of respect for the place and community that Coaches Holly and Brian have built. Coach Paola also helps create an incredible space where people want to keep showing up for themselves and for their goals. The Resilient Strength is purposeful, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the athletes that enter through the front door, whether they are trying to introduce themselves to the world of strength training, or if they are trying to take their game to the next level. I have trained here for a little less than a year, and my only regret is that I took so long to find this space. I consider myself an aspiring powerlifting competitor. It is deeply reassuring to have personal coaching that will align with my interests, and is actively helping me achieve the dreams and PRs that I want to reach. The amount of growth I have experienced as an athlete in such a short amount of time is beyond my expectations, and I am exceptionally grateful for the ride. Highly recommended.

  • “Resilient Strength is easily the best all around gym I’ve been to, and not just by what it has to offer equipment wise, but because of the people and level of coaching available . Coach Brian Wilbur is an AMAZING coach to say the least. Between him and coach Holly they are masters of anything weights. I came in wanting to compete in Olympic lifting and ended up doing my first competition and have nationals ahead. And the other athletes are the most welcoming group I’ve ever met.

As a former 3 year varsity football starter and all-league player, I highly recommend the Resilient Strength and their coaches to get you ready for your next competition, season, and or level. They’re the real deal.”

  • I really love Weightlifting (snatch and clean and jerk). I consume all the content, but thought I was just weak and bad. After hearing a few breadcrumbs from videos, I found out that I was pretty good for an old guy! I wanted to start competing as a Masters athlete and discovered that I needed to get hooked up with a USAW gym.

This was one of the closest and I was so sold by my intake call with Brian.

Brian has been a exceptional coach - everything you want. I'm mostly a remote athlete, but cherish my chances to join my teammates at this gym - the energy is so supportive for everyone no matter their stage. Everyone is just competing with their past selves and we're all there to support each others' journey. Even though most of my interaction with Brian is over videos, he delivers smart programming, deeply insightful and delightfully nuanced technique optimizations, advice that pushes you correctly while also acknowledging your current circumstances, etc. Under his tutelage, my strength is consistently improving, along with my technique, my logistical strategies (when and how to fuel), etc.

My lifting has improved so far that I'm no longer just a dude in my basement, but actually have national championship in my crosshairs. My body feels great and my progress rate is astronomical compared to where I was doing it by myself (in hindsight so many mistakes.) It's all worth so much more than every penny. I'm so grateful to be a part of this community!

  • …I’ve been going to Resilient Strength for over three years, and it has all I could ever hope for in a gym, with an amazing community on top of that!

When I went there for the first time, I was incredibly intimidated by gyms in general after a long stretch of inactivity. The owner, Holly, worked with me to build my strength and confidence and the results have been more than I ever hoped for. I’ve also seen other athletes get started in this gym and go on to compete in strength events, with the rest of the gym cheering them on.

There’s all the equipment you could want (and they’re consistently upgrading the equipment and optimizing the use of the space), the community is supportive, inclusive, and fun, the group classes are challenging and rewarding, and the one-on-one training was legitimately life-changing. Holly and Brian have built and maintained an amazing space.

If you’re looking for a gym you’ll genuinely get excited to go to, run by people who care about their athletes’ well-being first and foremost and can work with all fitness levels, this is the space for you.”

  • Hell yeah! Our athletes have all sorts of goals so and we meet you where you're at. We train for a whole bunch of reasons and for some of us that's lifting for health or to improve our lifts or for some other application. All are valid here.

If you do want to compete, we love going to comp and crushing it but that's not all we do.

  • "I want to join Team Resilient" to 408 933 8893 and we'll take it from there!

We also have mobility series geared towards supporting your daily life like "Mobility for your Workday", 4 minute videos to feel awesome at work, pain management videos for everything from necks to knees, and so much more. We want to support you feeling amazing, and that's not just when you're moving big weight. Lift good, move good, feel good.

Additionally, we have pop ups from Acupuncture and body workers, a Chiropractor that coaches strength, and powerFLOW: our weekly mobility class with Coach Paola.

Follow our journey.

You'll notice we use “athlete” often. That's you! We are using our bodies to achieve our goals here, which makes us all, who train, athletes.

We are a community of gritty, capable, and caring athletes. We get to work hard, with a consistent base of support, so that we can do more: live more, lift more, adventure more, and do more of the things we love. We are diverse in our pursuits and unified in a Resilient Strength.
